 Formerly this park was the hunting ground of the erstwhile rulers of Jaipur. Nestled at the meeting point of the Aravallis and Vindhyas, it is home to a large number of man made lakes. The topography of this park is rugged, featuring deciduous forests and supports a wide range of exquisite flora and fauna.
The park has a healthy population of tigers besides a number of other wild species such as Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Chinkara, Porcupines, Jackals, Leopard, Jungle Cat, Marsh Crocodile, Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Gazelles, Boars, Mongoose, Indian Hare, Monitor Lizards and a large number of birds. Ranthambore Fort and Jogi Mahal are the other attractions of this park.

For viewing the birds, the ideal time to visit would be from October to February. |
