Lakshadweep or Laccadives as it was known earlier is a string of coral islands in the Arabian sea. The islands are administered directly from the centre or Union government and are hence known as Union Territory. Only few of the islands are inhabited. The beautiful lagoons and coves with calm seas are best for snorkelling and scuba diving.

A perfect tropical paradise with deserted sandy beaches, stretches of coconut palm trees, endless sunshine and above all the clear blue waters of the coral lagoons.
