Day 01: Arrival Cochin
On arrival at Cochin International airport, our representative meets and transfers to your hotel. A port town, Kochi is a beautiful city situated on the Western Coast of India facing the Arabian Sea, and rightfully called the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea'. It has a rich network of backwaters and is the culture and heritage centre of Kerala. Cochin known as the Queen of Arabian Sea, Relax and unwind at the hotel. In the evening enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Cochin
Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour to explore the many fascinating highlights of Cochin which include - The Jewish Synagogue in what is locally called the Jew Town, St. Francis Church which is the oldest European Church in India, the Santa Cruz Basilica built in 1557 by the Portuguese, the Dutch Palace, the Spice market and the 15th century Chinese fishing nets believed to have been brought by Chinese traders. In the evening, enjoy the famous dance drama of Kerala, the Kathakali. This dance is characterised by some great story telling, amazing costumes and extensive make-up. Overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 03: Cochin – Kothamangalam (60kms/1.5hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Kothamangalam and spend the afternoon at leisure in a century old estatebungalow set in over 100 acres of multi cropplantation.Apart from exploring the estate you could also visit the local bird sanctuary and in the evening partake in cookery demonstrations involving authentic Kerala cuisine. Overnight at Estate Bungalow.
DAY 04: Kothamangalam
Morning breakfast at Bungalow and drive to the Kodanad elephant orphanage. You will get the opportunity to be up and close with the elephants and can participate in their bathing and feeding. Elephant rides will also be possible. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Esate Bungalow.
DAY 05: Kothamangalam – Kumarakom (80kms/2hrs)
Morning breakfast from the Bungalow later drive to Kumarakom, the enchanting backwater region of Kerala and check into your hotel. The labyrinthine network of rivers, canals, streams and lagoons which form the famed backwaters offer stunning views and is an ideal place to relax. Day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 06: Kumarakom
Breakfast at the hotel and the day at leisure in the resort. You could go for optional activities like canoeing, water scooter rides, boat rides etc. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 07: Kumarakom - Houseboat
Morning after breakfast, embark on your private houseboat from your resort and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or 'Kettuvalloms' are luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it's the life along the coast that makes this a fascinating experience. The locals travel in canoes and you will find vegetable sellers, fishermen and other traders bringing household goods, door to door in small wooden boats. As you cruise along the backwaters you can ask your captain to stop at villages, paddy fields and other places enroute. Overnight on board.
DAY 08: Alleppey - Kumarakom –Periyar ( 180kms/4hrs)
Morning after breakfast disembark from the houseboat and drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel. Go on a spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. Overnight at the resort.
DAY 09: Periyar
Breakfast the hotel and explore full activities in Periyar, you could go for an escorted jungle trek and also engage in activities like bamboo rafting or go for a boat ride where you will have the opportunity to sight elephants and other animals along the bank. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 10: Periyar – Kovalam (280kms/6.5hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Kovalam, one of the most popular beaches in Kerala on arrival check into your hotel. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches separated by rocky headlands, of which the southernmost, Lighthouse Beach, is the most famous. The Azure waters and favourable climate make Kovalam a favourite year-round destination for beach lovers. Rest of the day at leisure on the beach. Overnight at the resort.
DAY 11: Kovalam
Breakfast at hotel and the day at leisure for beach activities, enjoy the sand and surf. Overnight at the resort.
DAY 12: Kovalam
Morning after breakfast you could choose an optional excursion to Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala and take a sightseeing tour of Horse Palace, Napier Museum and Art Gallery or you could simply spend your day at leisure on the beach. Overnight at the resort.
DAY 13: Kovalam
Breakfast at hotel and the day at leisure in Kovalam. Enjoy a general Ayurvedic full-body massage today. Overnight at the resort.
DAY 14: Kovalam - Trivandrum -Departure (15kms/0.5hrs)
Morning after breakfast departure transferred to Trivandrum airport for return flight.
