Day 01 : Arrival Cochin
On arrival to the Cochin International airport you will be met by Indian Voyages representative and transferred to your hotel. A port town since early centuries, Cochin offers you some fascinating snippets of history and culture. Relax and unwind at the hotel. Go for an optional sightseeing tour to explore the many fascinating highlights of Cochin which include - The Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, the Santa Cruz Basilica, the Dutch Palace, the spice market and the 15th century Chinese fishing. In the evening enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 02 : Cochin – Calicut (210kms/5.5hrs)
Monring after breakfast drive to Calicut, enroute visit Guruvayoor, the temple town near Thrissur. Visit the Punathoor elephant camp which houses more than 60 elephants. Proceed to Calicut, check into your resort and unwind. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Calicut
Breakfast at hotel and visit the fish markets or venture into Calicut town and visit the Sweet Meat Street and the many colourful shops. Visit the Boat yards in Beypore which have been building vessels since early centuries for legendary seamen. Later in the evening witness a Kalarippayatu (Martial arts) demonstration. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Calicut – Vythiri (80kms/3hrs)
After breakfast drive to Wayanad set in the picturesque Western Ghats and mountains. Littered with tropical rain forests, dense hills, rolling paddy fields, spice plantations and valleys, Wayanad is a hitherto undiscovered location offering breathtaking views. Check into a rainforest resort. Discover the enchanting rainforests. Day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 : Vythiri
Wake up in the rainforest amidst the chirping of birds and water bodies tingling around your cottages. After breakfast visit the pre historical Edakkal Caves today. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : Vythiri – Tellicherry (500kms/6hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Tellicherry, a vibrant fishing town in the north of Calicut which is famous for the 3 C's- Circus, Cricket and Cakes. Check into the majestic Ayesha Manzil. In the evening witness a colourful Theyyam dance demonstration.
Day 07 : Tellicherry – Cochin
Morning after breakfast transfer driver to Cochin or option travel from Tellicherry to Cochin by Train and enjoy a short journey through some beautiful rail routes. On arrival, transfer to hotel and day at leisure. In the evening enjoy a Kathakali Dance. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 : Cochin – Periyar (190kms/4.5hrs)
Breakfast at hotel and drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel. Go on a spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by the aroma of spices. Elephant rides will also be possible today.Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 : Periyar
Breakfast at hotel and you could go for a three hour escorted jungle trek or engage in a full day jungle trail involving bamboo rafting and treks. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Periyar – Kumarakom (140kms/4hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom, the enchanting backwater region of Kerala and check into your hotel. The labyrinthine network of rivers, canals, streams and lagoons which form the famed backwaters offer stunning views and is an ideal place to relax. Day at leisure. Overnight at the resort.
Day 11: Kumarakom - Alleppey – Houseboat(60km/1.5hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Alleppey and embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or 'Kettuvalloms' are luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it's the life along the backwaters that makes this a fascinating experience. Overnight on board.
Day 12: Houseboat – Kovalam (175kms/3.5hrs)
Breakfast at houseboat and disembark at Alleppey jetty and drive to Kovalam, one of the most popular beach destinations in Kerala and check into your hotel. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches separated by rocky headlands. Day at leisure on the beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Kovalam
Breakfast at hotel and the day at leisure. Enjoy a full body general Ayurvedic massage. Overnight at Travancore Heritage.
Day 14: Kovalam - Trivandrum –Departure (15kms/0.5hrs)
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to Trivandrum for return flight.
