| Day 01 : Arrive Trivandrum – Kovalam (25kms/1hrs) |
Arrive at Trivandrum International airport, welcomed by Indian Voyages representatives and drive to Kovalam, one of the most popular beach destinations in Kerala and check into your hotel. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches separated by rocky headlands, of which the southernmost, Lighthouse Beach, is the most famous. The azure waters and favourable climate make Kovalam a favourite year-round destination for beach lovers. Enjoy a rejuvenating Ayurveda massage. Day at leisure on the beach to relax and unwind. | Day 02 : Kovalam |
Morning after breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the many cultural attractions in the city of the erstwhile rulers of Travancore, Trivandrum. Visit the Padmanabhapuram Palace, a wooden palace dating back to the 17th century. You can visit the Napier Museum, Sri Chitra art gallery and the famous East fort. You could also visit the famous Thiruvallom Parasuram Temple on the banks of river near Trivandrum. Overnight at the resort. |
| Day 03 : Kovalam – Kollam (80kms / 2hrs) |
Morning after breakfast drive to Kollam an old seaport town on the Arabian coast, set along the Ashtamudi lake. Itsstrategic location with regards to trade made it the subject of writers such as Marco Polo who record it as one of the leading trade capitals of the Old World. Check into your resort which is set in a very beautiful village. Explore the village and witness the lifestyles of the villagers in Kerala. Overnight at the resort. |
| Day 04 : Kollam – Thotapally – Houseboat (55kms/1hrs) |
Morning after breakfast drive to Thotapally a beautiful backwater stretch. Enroute stop at Kayamkulam and visit the 18th century Krishnapuram Palace which houses one of the largest mural paintings in Kerala called the Gajendra Moksham measuring 14 feet by 11 feet. In Thotapally, embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or 'Kettuvalloms' are luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it's the lifestyle of the people along the backwaters that makes this a fascinating experience. Overnight on board. |
| Day 05 : Houseboat – Alleppey - Cochin (60kms/2hrs) |
Morning after breakfast disembark from the houseboat and drive to Cochin. Check into your hotel. A port town since early centuries, Cochin, also known as the spice coast of India offers you some fascinating snippets of history and culture. In the afternoon go for a guided sightseeing tour to explore the many fascinating highlights of Cochin which include - the Jewish Synagogue in what is locally called the Jew Town, St. Francis Church which is the oldest European Church in India, the Santa Cruz Basilica built in 1557 by the Portuguese, the Dutch Palace, the spice market and the 15th century Chinese fishing nets. In the evening, enjoy a Kathakali performance, a famous dance drama of Kerala. This dance is characterized by some great story telling, amazing costumes and extensive make-up. | Day 06 : Cochin – Guruvayoor (130kms/2.5hrs) |
Early morning breakfast at hotel and drive to Guruvayoor, the temple town near Thrissur; the cultural capital of Kerala. Check into your hotel. Visit the famous Krishna temple and whilst entry is not permitted to Non Hindus, walking along the four roads leading to the temple can be an awe inspiring experience. You could visit Punnathoorkotta which houses more than 60 elephants.Visit Natanakairali to enjoy the 'Nangiarkoothu' a fascinating solo dance performance which involves storytelling accompanied by a vocalist and percussion instruments. Overnight at the hotel. |
| Day 07 : Guruvayur – Calicut (100kms/2.5hrs) |
Morning after breakfast drive to Calicut, the traditional capital of North Kerala a leading trading centre for spices on the west coast. Enroute visit 'Kalamandalam' a centre founded with the objective of reviving, preserving and developing the ancient and traditional art forms of Kerala. Visitors can also spend a day with the masters to witness artists and teachers in action. Check into a river resort. Overnight at the Resort. |
| Day 08 : Calicut |
Breakfast at the hotel and visit the colourful streets of Calicut including the Sweetmeat street and its many colourful shops. You could drive to Beypore, one of the prominent ports and fishing harbours of ancient Kerala and visit the boatyards which havebeen building vessels since early centuries for legendary seamen. Later in the evening witness a Kalarippayat (Martial art) demonstration. Overnight at the Resort. |
| Day 09 : Calicut – Cochin(220kms/5hrs) |
Morning after breakfast drive to cochin or optional transfer by Train, Take a 4 hour train journey through some of the most picturesque rail routes in Kerala to Cochin. Check into your hotel. You could spend your last day in Kerala, shopping in the bustling metropolis of Cochin. Overnight at the resort. |

Morning after breakfast departure transfer to Cochin airport for return flight. |
